Directory
Most of what you need to explore radiology is spread across different sites. This brings it together in one place.
- Mentorship Get paired with a resident who recently went through the match.
- By specialty Interventional and diagnostic radiology resources, and an away-rotation guide.
- Research Projects and the faculty behind them, in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
- Societies National groups, free to join as a student.
- Away rotations and the match What to expect on a sub-internship, a fourth-year scholarship, and advice from the class that just matched.
- Events Game nights, workshops, socials, and the IR symposium.
The mentorship program
RIG pairs med students with radiology residents, to give interested students mentors to explore the field, learn about radiology, and guidance on the application journey.
How the pods work
Every student is matched one-on-one with a resident mentor. Those pairs are grouped into small pods, usually two students and two residents and often a junior and a senior, so you get a close mentor plus a small group to lean on.
What do we do?
Whatever you want! Mentors help with career planning, applications, and getting you experience, but we encourage everyone to make it their own. If you're looking for ideas, see our pod bingo board on the right. Get three in a row, and the entire pod wins a Higher Grounds gift card!
Pairings run in cycles, and sign-ups are closed at the moment. New students can join at the mentorship event in the fall. Join the listserv to stay up to date.
